NDHSAA Staff

Executive Secretary

Sherm Sylling

Sherm has been at NDHSAA since 1999 and previously worked as an administrator in North Dakota schools. Sherm is responsible for the finances of the association, the interpretation of the NDHSAA Constitution & By-Laws, eligibility issues, hardship investigations, protests against schools, aids with the administration of Boys Basketball, Hockey and Track and works closely with the NDHSAA Board of Directors. Administrators or member schools may direct questions concerning eligibility and hardships to Sherm.

Sheryl Solberg

Sheryl has been with NDHSAA since 1978. She has a teaching and coaching background and currently presents rules clinics and works with Girls Basketball, Boys & Girls Swimming, Boys & Girls Cross Country, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Boys & Girls Track, and Girls Class A Golf. Sheryl also works with game rule book interpretations.

Dave Carlsrud

Dave started working for NDHSAA in 1988. He brings a teaching and officiating background to our organization. Dave currently presents rules clinics and works with Basketball, Football, Boys' & Girls' Soccer, Wrestling, Spring Golf, Hockey and Baseball. He deals with protests of officiating, sanctions, serves as the NDOA Secretary and works with game rule book interpretations.

Brenda Schell

Brenda joined the NDHSAA in 2007 and has a school technology and business managment background. She is the technology coordinator working with web design, publication design, on-line testing and the administration of our website. She also presents rules clinics and works with Boys' and Girls' Tennis.

Brian Bubach

Brian is the newest member of the team joining NDHSAA in 2008. He has a fine arts and administration background and will be working with student congress, debate, one-act plays, all music and speech activities, and the presentation of fine arts clinics. He is also in charge of press relations, publicity, publications and records.

Support Staff

Sue Carlsrud

Sue has been with NDHSAA since 1976 and she is the keeper of the yearbook and wealth of information on NDHSAA. If you have orders for directories, calendars, rule books and other materials contact Sue. Sue is the person to contact concerning the status of membership dues & applications.

Patty Bass

Patty is the voice you most often hear when you call the NDHSAA. She has started at NDHSAA in 1983 and works with everything that pertains to Officials. She tracks the registration of officials and officials' records. If you have any questions concerning the status of officials, contact Patty.

Sharon Prosby

Sharon started as the NDHSAA bookkeeper and office manager in 2005. She keeps track of membership applications and dues, eligibility forms, entry forms and the payment of fees.
