State Cross-Country Meet on October 25, 2008

The 30th Annual Girls’ State Cross Country Meet and the 48th Annual Boys’ and Girls' State Cross Country Meets will be held on Saturday, October 25th, in Jamestown at Hillcrest Golf Course. Jim Roaldson, Athletic Director for the Jamestown Public Schools, will be the manager.

WHEN: October 25, 2008
WHERE: Hillcrest Golf Course (located east of Jamestown on 3rd St. SE)
ADMISSION: The NDHSAA will be charging $6 for adults and $4 for students. Please inform your parents and fans of the fee.

DIRECTIONS:

Traveling to Jamestown via I-94, exit at the Bloom Exit (262) just east of Jamestown. Proceed north approximately ¾ of a mile. Turn left on the first paved road and you will be headed west on 3rd St. SE. After traveling approximately 1 and ½ miles you will see Hillcrest Golf Course on the south side of the road.

Traveling to Jamestown via highway 20, proceed south on 12th Ave. NE, turn left on 4th St. NE, proceed east and turn right (south) on 15th Ave. NE. Stay on 15th Ave. until you reach 3rd St. SE. Turn left and the Hillcrest Golf Course is approximately ¾ mile east on the south side of the 3rd St. SE.

Traveling to Jamestown via highway 281, proceed east on 5th St. NW to Main Avenue. Turn right on Main Avenue and proceed south to 3rd St. SE. Turn left (east) on 3rd St. SE and go approximately 2 miles and Hillcrest Golf Course will be on the south side of the road.

PARKING: Buses should drop athletes at the golf course and then park in the soccer complex parking lot which is located to the west of the golf course. Spectator parking is limited near the golf course in the softball/soccer parking to the west of the golf course and to the softball parking lot directly to the north of the golf course.

SCHEDULE:
10:00 AM – Course Available for Walking
11:30 AM – Coaches Meeting—Hillcrest Clubhouse
1:00 PM – Class A Girls’ (4,000 meters)
1:30 PM – Class B Girls’ (4,000 meters)
2:00 PM – Class A Boys’ (5.000 meters)
2:30 PM – Class B Boys’ (5,000 meters)
3:00 PM – Awards


REST ROOMS: Port-a-potties will be available. Please do not use golf course clubhouse.

T-SHIRTS: Will be sold at the meet by the NDHSAA.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available.

RESULTS: Results will also be posted to the NDHSAA website approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last race as well.

OTHER INFORMATION: Please use the outdoor porta potties rather than using the indoor facility in the clubhouse. We also ask that coaches police their area for cleanup after the race. We are very appreciative to Jamestown Park & Recreation for allowing the use of their course and we do not want to wear out our welcome. Your help is greatly appreciated.
